Fire Curtain Installation Within a High-Volume Plant Room Environment
At Bee Fire Protection Ltd, we were appointed to deliver passive fire protection works at the ABP Hull Border Control Post following the failure of a previous fire curtain installation.
The project required the installation of robust vertical fire barriers capable of withstanding significant air volume loads within a large plant room environment, while maintaining effective fire compartmentation throughout the building’s lifecycle.

Project Requirements
Following the failure of a previous installation, the project required:

Challenges & Considerations
This project presented several technical and logistical challenges, including:

In total, five compartmentation zones were installed, each spanning approximately 19 metres with 4-metre drops, requiring careful coordination and precise installation.
